This tour promises to be an excellent event for those of you living in the Southern California area! *** SJSU SAASC has the exciting opportunity to offer a tour of The Huntington Library in San Marino, CA. One of the largest and most complete research libraries in the United States, the Huntington Library has an extensive collection of rare books and manuscripts in the subjects of American and British history and literature. Attendance is limited. Participants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Volunteer in the San Marino, CA area needed!
SJSU SAASC (http://sjsusaasc.weebly.com/) has an opportunity to offer students a tour of The Huntington Library(http://www.huntington.org/) in the Spring 2016 semester. However, none of our executive members are located in the San Marino, CA area!!! If you live in the San Marino, CA area and are willing to function as our in-person contact for the tour, please submit your name and contact information to [email protected]. The date of the tour is flexible and can be adapted to suit your schedule! This is a great opportunity to get involved in SJSU SAASC and visit/explore an amazing repository. We know you have it in you! You have a story to tell. You met someone in the archives profession and can't wait to share it with the eager ears of your fellow students. Maybe you had an archives-related experience yourself. Do you have a recommendation on which archives classes to take? Did a class help you with a particular real-life archives application?
Whether you are brand new in the field, or a seasoned professional, we want to hear from you! Publish an article in Archeota, the SAASC publication for the students, by the students!
