If you like archives, this is your chance to get more involved with SJSU's Society of American Archives Student Chapter (SAASC)! It's fun and it looks great on your eportfolio or resume!

SAASC is looking for people to work on the following committees (*Note: You must be a member of SAA to participate):

Archeota
Managing Editor-in-Training
Catherine Folnovic, our amazing Archeota Managing Editor since Spring 2015, is graduating soon. We are looking for someone to join the Archeota editorial team and train to become the next Managing Editor. All are welcome to apply, but we are hopefully looking for someone who has at least a year left at the iSchool. If you are a new student, don't hesitate to step forward! Access to the most recent version of Microsoft Office's Publisher is preferred. Please see go here for more information and to let us know you're interested!

Events Team
Join our Events Team and help plan and prepare for a stellar lineup of events. We are especially looking for people who would assist with creating graphics, flyers, and presentations (PowerPoint or Prezi).

Web Team
Join this crucial team, which keeps SAASC connected with students. We are looking for people interested in working on Twitter, the blog, ScholarWorks, and a calendar of archives-related events.

Special Projects
The iSchool has a wonderful webpage set up to help students learn about prospective working environments for different library settings called:Career Environments. So far, they have microsites set up for Academic, Public, and Special Libraries. Seems like there should be one for archives too, right?! Help us set this up! Great opportunity to make your mark on the iSchool and looks great on the resume too!

If interested, please contact sjsusaasc@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you!
